I don't really count the boots as an item I couldn't live without though - if I play anything other than a Breton I just sell the things as they are too much hassle with the whole blind thing.

Another item I like when playing as a Telvanni is an exquisite amulet with as much constant effect levitation as possible. Combine this with an exquisite ring with as much constant effect speed as possible and an exquisite ring with constant effect invisibility and you can just explore the entire countryside at your own leisure without having to worry about people/creatures distracting you lol.

Signet ring is difficult to obtain, and IIRC its only resist magicka, not reflect/absorb... So I prefer atronach with necromancers amulet, marara's ring and wraithguard (absorb 75%, reflect 30%)...

Royal Signet Ring:

Regenerate 10 health per second
100% REFLECT Magic
Immune to paralyzation

And it's not that hard to get. Just kill King Helseth after doing the Mournhold Quest.

As for the Boots, there's a lot of easy ways to prevent the blindness.

1. Be a Breton.

2. Put the Cuirass of the Savior's hide on, then the boots, then put on your normal cuirass.

3. Wear the Royal Signet Ring.

4. Make a spell that resists magicka for one second and then put them on.

I mean, come on, it's 200 extra speed.

200 extra speed is not always worth it - it depends on your character. I role play more than power game and if I play as a mage etc. I don't really equip them with boots as they wouldn't wear them. My other character I have going at the moment is a custom build Paladin and my character is only wearing Heavy Armour so again, she would not wear the boots even though she is a Breton. If I want to travel long distances quickly I just buy Windwalker scrolls. Personally though I quite like just leisurely walking around exploring things.

As for the Signet Ring, personally i think its more beneficial to absorb the magic rather than reflect it. Therefore I agree with the stuff GregtheSleeper uses as I use the same stuff lol.

For me, it breaks lore, so it's a no-no... I'd only kill Helseth for his robe... What? It's a nice robe...

I really really like this hammer I got in a chest floating over a lava pit (it was on a Imperial Cult quest) - it does 10-70 damage... it is a one-hand blunt weapon (so you can use your shield) it has constant effect 'feather' for 15 points (so it weights nothing) and it adds 5 points to your attack while you are equipping it... the only bad thing is that it looks stupid in your hand... it is freakin' huge...

That would be skullcrusher - my weapon of choice for my paladin as it kills everything with one to three hits, including golden saints and dremora lords (even less when you have strength of 200 too lol)

An item I couldn't live without are my Bouncers (Extravagant shoes with 10 jump for 10 seconds) enchanted by yours truly. It always annoys me how things are just out of reach and how I have to waste half my magika to levitate or use hoptoad that m ost of the time is not succesful. Also the ability to get a bit further is really useful for mages and shooters so they are just out of reach of melee creatures and NPCs.

Telikenetic Safecracker...

Hey guys,

I'm a bandit and I find myself terribly curious about what all the heavy duty locked chests in stores and houses have in them. Unfortunately, most have a person hanging out right next to them, making it impossible to sneak up and pick the lock. Of course, you could normally kill the person, but this usually isn't a good idea with merchants and other folks you might need to do business with in the future. (Plus, I'm always afraid that whomever I kill is going to be necessary for a quest I'll want to do in the future.) Of course, you could run and shred the locks, steal stuff, try not to get killed by the irate person or guard, and then pay off the bounty with the thieves guild, but that kind of defeats the point of being a professional thief, doesn't it?

Well, with the Telikenetic Safe Cracker, your problems are solved:

Here's the recipe:

Telikinetic Safe Cracker
1 Exquisite Ring (substitute Exq. Amulet if prefered)
1 Golden Saint Soul (or Ascended Sleeper) in a Grand Soul Gem (or Azura's Star)
1 Open Spell
1 Telikenesis Spell

Directions:
Go to your local enchanter and have him or her put Open 100-100 on target with 0 range. Next have them put Telikensis on Self for 6 seconds.
Cost: $35,000 - $40,000 (depending on your mercantile, it could as low as $25K)
Serves: 4 (each use depletes about 100 points of the 400 point charge of the Golden Saint)
Recharge Rate: Slow (After completely depleting the ring, a 24 hour sleep recharged it just over 1/2 way)

How to Use the Ring: Go to any house or business that has a tasty looking chest nearby and hide in a corner where you are out of site. Then fire your spell at the chest and immediately hit the open button ('A' on the X box). This will allow you to plunder the chest you just cracked open without moving from the safety of the corner. Since the open screen pauses time, if you're really fast, you can loot the treasure chest you aimed at and loot a couple of nearby bags or pots before your Telikenesis 6 second window runs out.

Warning: Make sure that wherever you cast this spell from, you are in sneak mode and that no one can see you. If you get cocky and fire this from out in the open, you will get a bounty put on your head.

While you're only going to get four uses out of this per charge period, the amount of stuff you can loot is pretty impressive. I ended up thieving from the chest of the Enchanter who had just created the ring for me and got enough loot to nearly pay for the entire enchantment in that one haul. This is so handy, you may want to make two of them.

Best of luck,

Black Jax

I haven't created many items, but I think my favorite item is a Daedric Dai-Katana that I just enchanted that has 25-50 Fire Damage and Absorb Health 20 pts.

For items I haven't created, I would have to say...

1. Boots of Blinding Speed--Mainly for my Breton with the Cuirass of the Saviors' Hide, I don't know how I lived without these with my Khajiit file.

2. Necromancer's Amulet--The best amulet in the game, as far as I know, and great for Mage characters.

3. Redas Robe of Deeds--The Feather helps me out so much...I wish I had this all the time. BTW is there a better robe out there (or maybe a private recipie...)??

4. Skull Crusher--There's a reason this chest is floating...the gods wanted it so they were trying to pull it up in the chest to them...but the roof got in the way. Lucky me!

all exquisite clothing/rings/amulets being enchanted with camoflage, boots of blinding speed, and Cuirass of the Saviors hide...being almost 100% camoflaged, really fast, and able to resist all magic if you want to make another enchanted item that resists magic!!!

Wepons: Daedric dia-katana, echanted with damage health, fire damage
I want to make an enchanted daedric long bow with poison, and weakness to poison...just on the bow itself, but I'm not too sure if it would do anything any extra damage to an enemy! If anyone has tried please let me know...or I'll let you know when i decide to stop being lazy and actually try it....maybe??? and last but not least umbra's sword!....
