House Redoran councilor quests (SPOILERS)

alright well im at the point where i need a house father rank to get my stronghold to the next level. Sarethi tells me i need to, Galsa Gindu does too, but none of the councilors will tell me about there quests. naturally Sarethi starts on my side based on the guide on this site (but i couldnt finish all of his because i killed Ondres Nerano ahead of time and cannot finish the quest). but how come they wont allow me to start the quests? ive done every other quest except i think three, and i was prompted to "get the support of the other councilors" by Sarethi, but none will give me the quest. how can i get this rank? (i have the Xbox GOTY version btw, i cant put things in like on the computer)

Please don't bump a thread like this so soon after posting it. If it slips down a page or two, that's fine, but if it's still on the front page of the forum there isn't any need to do it. People will see the thread and answer if they can. This is an older game, so there may be less traffic on this forum than on some of the newer games. It may take a couple days or so before someone reads your question and can give you an answer as a result.

In the meantime, you could try using google to see if you can come across the answer. Sometimes that gets results quicker. Most threads like this typically get resolved via the commands available on the PC version which aren't available in your case. Like I said, I'd try google or something while waiting for a response.

What are the last journal entries for Galsa Gindu and Athyn Sarethi?

well from galsa it is saying that the second stage of my stronghold is finished, and when i talked to her in person she said to talk to her again when i was ready for the stronghold of a councellor and the last input from sarethi were thanking me for fixing Arethan Mandas, but its because i went and freed his daughter and did the quest without a prompt to do so

A bit of a detective chore this one, it would have been easy to fix if you'd been playing on a PC.

As far as I can see the only sticking point would be not having done the Shurinbaal quest that you should have got from Athyn Sarethi. The crucial journal entries for this quest is "Serjo Athyn Sarethi thanked me for shutting down the smuggling operations in Shurinbaal.".

If that isn't in your journal, then that would indicate that you haven't been credited with completing the quest. That quest has to be completed one way or another before Brara Morvayn or Hlaren Ramoran (the crucial councillors at this point in your game) will give you the "So you want my support on the Council." option.

ok so i tried to do the quest without prompt but it seems i already killed them all...and the topic doesnt come up with sarethi . is there anything else i can do to get the top?
