Gnisis Egg Mine (Minor Spoiler)

I'm doing a quest for the Mage's guild (the one where you go to the Gnisis Egg Mine.) And in the Lower Egg Mine, there is an Orc. He yells at you and says, "You're not supposed to be in here. I'm gonna count to ten and you'd better be gone by then." (Or something like that.) So, I stood there thinking of what to do-should I talk to him? No, he'd attack me. Should I run? No, he'd just attack me again when I came back-when my "ten" was up, and he attacked me, so, of course, I killed him. But as I went deeper into the Egg Mine, I saw a ghost of some guy with a really long name. The ghost didn't attack me, so I walked past it and dove into the pool behind it. Well, on the bottom of that pool is the body of the guy who's ghost is floating up top. And next to the guy, is Lugrob's Axe. (Lugrob is the Orc who attacked me earlier and I killed. Not exactly sure of his name's spelling.)

Anyways, I was simply wondering if there was a little quest that was to be done there. When I left the place, my 'box froze so I shut it off and I haven't felt like turning it back on and loading a previous save yet. Just curious. If anyone knows, any information would be appreciated.

It's part of the Imperial Quests. A really corrupted one even as far as I can see.

Arrghh Captain, there be spoilers ahead! You get a mission from the Imperial Legion captain in Gnisis to go some lady and demand her land deed. Apparently her husband recently died and therefor she no longer has the right to their land. When speaking with her she tells her husband disappeared into mines when seeking for food. So you can choose to do the right thing and go search for him or take her land deed anyway and report back to the captain. Searching for her husband will you leed to the Orc (I just ran past him through door before he got to ten ) and finally to her husband's ghost who tells the truth and tells about the axe. When the Captain is shown the axe he admits a crime has been commited and sends you after the orc and tells you to leave the widow alone.

Thanks Rane. I should probably load a previous save and not kill him, then. Just in case I ever want to join the Imperial Legion, and want to do things properly.

I think it's totally possible to kill him before joining too. Since the ghost will still be there to tell the truth and you still got the axe. It will probably speed things up even since he's already dead and you wouldn't have to go back.
