I still can't get through guys. I've tried everthing you suggested.I still can't activate the hole after placing the satchels. Any more suggestions? I'm beginning to think my game has a bug or glitch.

Do you have Bloodmoon installed? If so, apply the patch, then update any plug-ins you have by opening them in the Construction Set and saving.
