Cheating is absolutely not necessary in Morrowind. Onc you reach a certain level, you are pretty much invincible. The game is way too easy as it is, even with the Giants mod installed.

Altogether there are ocassions it's good to have tools to correct some conditions and situations caused by bugs (like disappearence of NPC or stucking in the wall). And there always will be players wanting to cheat and ones who don't. It's always good for game to have the possibility. Nobody is obliged to use it, of course.

Well, i haven't been completely honest, i use one cheat as well myself. The Creepertrader in Caldera has 100.000 to spend in my game.

I mean, what's the use of walking around with items worth a truckload of money if you can't sell them ?

I would categorise that as a mod rather than a cheat. My previous runthrough I spend many, many days with creeper buying and selling to make a small fortune. With the CreeperMoreMoney mod (a modest 50k) I made a large fortune in 10% of the time. But I had done it the other way first.

I hear you J0ckser, i myself usually call it "fixing a bug". But no matter how you look at it, it's still cheating. You're able to make lots of money really fast, so you can train skills, and buy spells at a rate that makes your character invincible in only a few hours of play.

I did it more to make sure I had the money I needed when I needed it, than to train everything up. I have used some trainers, but my goal was more basic - I don't make a lot of money in reality, and in MW I can be a mulit-millionaire.

LOL Yeah, strangely enough that's one of the things i enjoy most about these type of games, the money making aspect.

It was like that with Baldurs Gate 2, Vampire, Darkstone, Neverwinternights, and also with Morrowind. Maybe i'm just a greedy bastard.
