Boots of Blinding Speed

Ok, yes, I know, there's been 3203425 threads on this already. Yes, I already know how to get them. Pemanie. Yes, I know about the blinding effect, and how to counteract them. My question is more on the gaming side. Are they worth it?

I've found some pretty hefty boots recently: Boots of the Apostle. There are some seriously great stats on these babies, and I'm seriously tempted to take off my Boots of Blinding Speed in favor of them. So, once again, the question is: should I? Is the +200 speed boost worth the loss of a massive amount of AC, plus the ability to levitate for 30-40 seconds on command without fail, even if I have 5 rank in Alteration?

As an addendum, a few other small questions:
Is Daedric armor worth the effort to try and get a full set, or should I just give up, and make do with the much easier to find Ebony armor set? Or should I just give up on Heavy Armor and go Light Armor?
Long Blades, Short Blades, or Blunt? Long Blade's got the Daedric Crescent, Short Blade's got Keening, and Blunt's got Scourge, Sunder and Skullcrusher. Axes have nothing that I know of anyhow.

Long Blades. Each group has some weapons with magic. But when you're up against something that resists magic, you want a weapon that's relatively fast and deals excellent damage. Long blades offer the best combination, from my perspective.

Boots of Blinding Speed? Put 'em in a display case in your house mod. Speed is a minor advantage compared to the other attributes.

Boots of speed are ok, but I almost never use them, unless I have to travel some place in the middle of no where with no other means of transportation around.

for apparel, here's what i'd use

daedric god helm with custom enchantment
daedric pauldrons with custom enchanment - just to make them shiny
curiass of the saviors hide
daedric greaves from telvanni quest (CE 50 points Feather)
wraithguard
daedric left gauntlet with custom enchantment
boots of the apostle
necromancers amulet
mara's ring
exquiste ring with custom enchantment
exquiste shirt with custom enchantment
exquiste pants with custom enchantment
exquiste skirt with custom enchantment
exquiste belt with custom enchantment
expensive robe (i hate the appearance of the exquiste robe)

weapons? take long blade for leveling off the start and train your blunt weapon after. i think the trainers go as high as 75 for blunt. axe and short blade both have grand master trainers. marksman is fun too. get yourself a daedric bow or the bow of shadows. its great for picking of cliff racers.

dairy: Gods, what is the weight you're carrying?

I used Da Boots for a LONG time with my archer, until I decided that its netch leather base is just too weak and flimsy.

If you ever need to travel to the middle of nowhere, use scrolls of windform.
