Armour class?

I am a little slow so forgive this question, but what is better, low or high armour class?

Thanks for that.

So does the value of the item in anyway reflect it's value in anything but a monetary sense? I mean I am finding some armour now (level 5 and not 'powergaming' at all) which seems to be as good as Chitin armour but is valued well below.

Likewise soem armour gives a much lower rating but is worth a lot more than Chitin.

I don;t get it...

Take a look at the durablity of the item as well. Sometimes you may find a piece of armour that has high durability (takes longer to break), but a lower armour value, and vice versa. I believe it also has something to do with how much charge it can hold when in enchanted, but I haven't tested that out yet.

I think it also has to do with your skill in that type of armour. If you really suck at heavy armor it's not going to give much of an advantage, etc.

Yea, it's a straight skill factor. If u're specialized in light armor even alot better heavy armor with be probably worse AC wise for you.
