Another journal related question - fixing journal errors (slight spoilers)

ok, i just spent ages searching for a thread i'm sure i saw a while back but i can't find it. I have a quest in my journal that is not showing as completed even though i completed it. Does anyone know the code to use in the console to make the game recognise a quest as finished? The quest in question is the Cloudreaver quest (or whatever its called) where you have to escort a half naked nord guy to a healer that stole his clothes and weapons. I have definately finished the quest as i've done this quest before - its just not recognising that i have.

Many thanks.

From Gamebanshee's walkthrough:

Quote:
If your journal does not clear after completing a quest: You need to know the journal heading from TESCS as well as the number associated with it - I’ll provide these for bugs I’ve encountered. Open the console and type: Journal “name of journal from TESCS” number associated with completion …And then hit enter and then close the console. Example: Journal “HR_RansomMandas” 100
So you should try to find the correct journal entry in the CS. It's not difficult once you know how:

Load the Morrowind.esm, and go to Character --> Dialogue, and then the "Journal" tab.

Also, if I have no idea what the journal entry might be called I think it's easier to find it in the "Topic" tab. Find the NPC who gave the quest in the "Filter for" list, chose a dialogue topic that concerns the quest, and you should find a reference to the journal entry in the "result" field at the bottom of the screen. You'll then have to look up the correct number in the Journal tab

Since I had to load the CS to remember the exact procedure (and my explanation would suck without an illustration anywhy), I found the journal entry for you:

From the topics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...oudcleaver.gif

Journal entry: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...udcleaver2.gif

So the console command would be:

Journal "MV_AbusedHealer" Index (whatever index matches how you solved the quest I suppose)

I didn't think about checking the walkthrough for the codes. I'm slowly getting the hang of the construction set now but its taking me awhile. That code and the images you posted were a great help. Thanks
