From the Gamer's Pulse interview (linked from Game Banshee )

GP: Has release date been set in stone?
TC: We are done in August, and Atari will decide the release date then.

EDIT: Amazon lists it as 9/16/03 on their pre-order page.

September's what I'm hearing, too. (Not that my opinion matters much, but I'm watching it closely since I'm supposed to review it.)

I am glad they are taking their time to make the game as bug free as they can. But if the game is as good as it sounds, man, I tell ya', it would have ruled this summer.

Not contradicting you, @Albromor, but where did you hear that they were taking any additional time on this game to make it "bug free?" Many games are deliberately put off until September (as KOTOR has been, as Lionheart has been, as Republic: The Revolution has been) more as an attempt to hit the big wave of post-summer game buying: a PR thing, in other words.

fable, I will have to go back and research to give exact info. but I read in May that Troika was set to release a number of items to the public and WotC put a major stop on this action. The speculation (yes, I know it is speculation) was that WotC was none too happy about certain "things," whatever they may have been. Originally the game was to be released in June from what I have read.
