i have tried this multiple times and it works every time for me
so i thot i wud help u guys save time as well...


lets say u got a level 3 wizard and u want to level it to a level 4 wizard and get the most HP possible.

instead pick rogue (or any other class) and level it up all the way untill u get to the "finish" button and hit the class button again and change it back to wizard.

now level up as u normally would and it shud give u the maximum HP u can get for that class.

if this does not work for any of u i am sorry, but it did work for me

Sounds interesting. I hate not getting an option to get max HP during level-ups.

Do think it is a rogue:mage thing, or a result of rogue having higher HD per level than the mage (i.e., a rogue would have to click fighter first, and a fighter would have to click barbarian first)?

Regardless, I'm gonna try it out on my next level-up.

no it not that.
i count how much a char one level higher would have if he had maximum HP and i try to get that

ex: a monk with 16 constitution cud have 44 HP at level 4. i can try and try to get 55 at level 5 but i keep comin up short . so i start to level up as ANY other class (it doesnt matter which to my understanding) and right when i am about to finalize the level click on the first box again and repick your class then level up and it shud give that monk 55 HP .
