| | | Masterwork bastard sword? Are masterwork versions of all the weapons/armor available somewhere in the game? I have a fighter specialized in the bastard sword and am looking to pick up a MW version so I can enchant it. Is there one? Where to look? |

Otis sells a masterwork bastard in Nulb at some point. There's also an evil bouncer in a bar in that town that has one on him, if you're looking to exact some justice. |

| | | Does what merchants have to sell vary throughout the game (ignoring what I sell them, natch)? How often do I need to check back for inventory updates? Otis doesn't seem to have what I need now. |

Yes, there are percentages attached to the vendors.. Some Items have percentages as low as 2%
The Co8 patch adds masterwork items to a conversation tree on the Hommlet Blacksmith.. If you feel like your average Hommlet blacksmith wouldn't have these items, don't buy them.... We felt it was pretty poor to make a character focus and specialize in a weapon, only to find out there is only 1 of them, and it's in some remote part of the temple... |

For instance, they could have Otis sell a few more masterwork weapons, possibly Dwarven Waraxes, Longspears, and/or Rapiers. |

I'm actually not that familiar with the game.. Only played about 6 hours or so, just made it into the temple, almost bypassing nulb completely...
Mainly, we want to concentrate on fixing bugs. Once there is a good implementation of the rules, then we can add more custom content.... |

Otis is a pretty good bet for getting a lot of non-magical weapons for enchantment. Besides, he seems to be the only person you can get these weapons from.
- Masterwork Greataxes
- Masterwork Morningstars (Nice for a Cleric of Erythnul with the War Domain)
- Masterwork Scythes (IIRC)
There are definitely others that could be added to this list, but I just thought I'd give an example. |

Since we have an example for you to look at, you could add some items to Otis's conversation tree fairly easily... If you are interested let me know. Once that is in place, we could move some of the masterwork items from Hommlet to Nulb.. I think that would appease the people upset about seeing masterwork items at level 1... |

1) If you're talking actual technical work, I'm almost all thumbs with that. I can run programs with no problem, but CREATING them? That's best left to someone else.
2) Aside from my duties as a moderator here at GameBanshee, I'm not one to take a lot of online commitment. Balancing college and job (timewise, that is) can be somewhat tricky, so I don't like to really slack on my biggest responsibilities. I'm also not very fond of joining a lot of online groups, if that's what would be required to "help with the modding."
Still, if you're just looking for some suggestions now and then, I could possibly do that. My biggest thing is maintaining composure with my time usage. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
