Question Will it work on Vista (resource thread)

Not surprisingly, we have seen a number of threads in recent months asking whether a particular game runs in Vista. I remembered a few pages I had seen addressing the issue, and I thought that it might be helpful to list them here. As more and more people get Vista, more people will be wondering if their games, especially the older ones will run on the new OS, so it might not be a bad idea to keep a running thread where people post personal experiences or informative links.

Here are some for starters.

Xandax, I was not totally sure if this belonged here or in RPG Discussion, but seeing as it will likely involve more tech-oriented issues, I figured here was a better fit. Obviously, move as appropriate

DW .. generally Vista can run pretty much all games which XP could.

Some require some amount of tweaking. I had no trouble with any of my games.

Titan Quest, Diablo, AOE, Ghost Recon.. etc etc.. however their baseline requirements for hardware do increase two fold.

System Requirements Lab provides a quick and dirty way of checking if your system can handle a certain game.

*shrugs* Well a lot of what I've read suggests otherwise, especially for older games. But hey, if Vista really is a gamer's godsend, than who am I to argue?

Angry mine dont work

all the games i have are older games, and not one works properly. dungeons lords CE is the only one that will even come up on my screen, but then i only get so far, and i get an error. would be nice to specifically find titles of similar games that are tested and proven to work on vista, sop i don't have to waste my money on games that wont play on a OS im not currently happy about anyway
