Angry Vampire will not install with windows 2k

Finally upgraded that stupid windows me.

Revisited many of my classic games(too bad I76 wouldn't work)

Finally decided to buy Vampire.

It won't install. The install shield icon runs, then the installation music begins, delivers an error message, and then installation shuts down.

Has anone had this problem with windows 2k?

and if so has anyone successfully installed vampire on 2k?

First off, what sort of computer are you running? We can't really help without knowing that.

That being said, you may need to update drivers or DirectX.

Duh my bad.....

Asus K7a mptherboard (266mhz bus)

athalon 1.4g

256mb DDR ram

15gb quantum fireball

old Diamond Monster sound 2 audio card

rivav tnt2 32mb video card

Windows 2000 professional with service pack 2 installed

I should have Microsofts latest directx (8.0a) for windows 2k.

I found a fix at
https://activision.custhelp.com/cgi-...HQmcF9wYWdlPTE*&p_li=

I followed activisions instructions. Installed from setup files on hard drive, updated registry, installed 1.1v patch.

Game now gives some cryptic no cd error.

Grabbed the vampire 1.1 no cd crack from gamecopyworld.

Game still gives same "no cd error"
