Speak Your Mind forum

I've been having issues for weeks now with the SYM forum. I go in and it shows the same exact threads in the same spots, and they never move; the dates on the ones not posted in "Today" or "Yesterday" go back to Feb. 21, and we all know that board hasn't been inactive. I keep seeing a different thread in the "last thread commented on" thing in the forum menu, but when I get in the forum, it's not there. I even edited a previous post in one of the threads, but I don't see it as edited. When I log out and try to go into SYM as a guest, I still show up on the thread logged in. I cleared my cookies, because honestly that's the only thing I could think of, and it didn't do anything. Does anyone have any idea what's going on or how to fix it?

I have no idea if this will help or not, but have you tried clearing out your Temporary Internet files? Don't know what browser you're using but, this problem can be because it is loading the cached version of the page instead of checking for any changes to it from the net.

This happened to me a few times in the past - although not with this forum. With Internet Explorer, you can right-click on the page and hold the Shift key when you press the Refresh option to force the browser to get the page from the server, not the cache.

Is this only with SYM forum, or ...?

As sabre suggests, try to clear temporary internet files.

Also - there is a setting which tells the browser to not check for new content, which means it'll use cached content, no matter how much has changed.
For Internet Explorer this setting is located under : Tools->Internet Options, General, Temporary Internet files -> Setting.
Set this to Every visit to the page if it not already is.
I'm not sure if this "feature" is in FireFox, Opera et al, but if you use one of thoese browsers either try messing about with the settings or post which browser you use.
