| | | sith academy crash
SPOILERS AHEAD
I just managed to kill everyone on the academy and am going to leave the academy when suddenly the game hangs up. After it passes the 30% or so loading mark the main menu music starts playing, I get the mouse icon back and nothing happens. Anything I can do to fix this? |

Okay, it's not the hard drive, since you say you have 17 GB free. How much RAM have you got? And is anything like a viruschecker running in the background?

The most you can do is to quit the game and start it back up again. It worked for me.

And is anything like a viruschecker running in the background? | Yeah I've got AVG running in the background, and I'm running the game on Windows XP with 1 gig RAM. Like I said, looking at the saves in KSE, Zaalbar's simply gone from my game and I can't get him back in any way I know. Maybe I could send the two saves to one of you, and you could check it out, if you're ok with that :| I was already done with the third Star Map god damn it! |

| | | I couldn't help you with any saved game files. I'm only trying to cover the simple stuff, to (hopefully) get it out of the way--the kind of things that could cause this problem.
I can't see AVG causing this, but try unloading (not uninstalling!) it. Try to give yourself as much RAM as possible, before loading. See if that helps.
If it doesn't, I'll move this over to the tech forum. Perhaps someone over there will have an idea.

| | I tried but it's simply the Save Game files (BOTH OF THEM!!!  ) that got corrupted, though it seems only that portion, Zaalbar, got destroyed. Maybe it could be fixed but I don't know how, and I don't feel like starting over! |
