For some reason recently, when I went to manually install some Morrowind mods, I kept getting errors. I'd grab the subfolders as I've always done and dragged them across to their proper destination, overwriting/adding where necessary. But I keep getting this sort of thing, after choosing Confirm Folder Replace with Yes to All:
"Can't remove folder n. The directory is not empty."
Yes, there is a folder n. I can try this several times, and finally, it will work, but not the first one or four. It's annoying, and never used to occur. Is there some sort of change I might have made that could be causing this? I'm on WinXP.

Very strange...
Much like you, I've always installed MW mods manually and never had a problem.
Have you recently done any messing about with your computer? Reg cleaning, intensive defragging, general cleanup, anything like that?

Hopefully the more tech savvy people here will be able to pinpoint your problem, it sounds *extremely* annoying ...

Hi Fable
Is your user account an administrator? Have you tried taking ownership of the folder, or resetting the folder securty rights? If it has been downloaded it may have some bad security ID's in the folder metadata.
Also have a look at this program: WhoLockMe Explorer Extension v2.0 beta (NT-Win2K-XP) download page
This will show which process is locking the folder or files.

Thing is, transferring folder-to-folder does work, sometimes. At other times, with the exact same folder, it doesn't. It takes anywhere from 1 to 8 (the highest number, yet) times for it to work properly. So rights don't appear involved, otherwise it wouldn't work on the same folder continuously, regardless.
Which is damn confusing, I admit.
