New XP Install of Baldurs Gate 2

I had this game installed with windows 98 2nd Ed. and it worked fine. But Now I want to re run my game, and I can Install BG2 but when I try to install Throne Of Bhaal, it staps at about 25% and send an error message.
Required data:
Minumum_25_data
E:data 2 cab
Data error/ cyber redundancy check transfer errror.

I guess it stops at some creature file number 25 or something? Any clue would be great but how abouts solving it all, thanks. I need to install then mod it then bust a some Bhaal spawn A$#
P.S. I now Have windows xp pro.

Oh, no...

Sounds like a CD is giving out on you...

Try the usual things... Windex, etc... And say a prayer...

When you get the chance, copy the cds and use the copies...

Well, if the files are corrupted enough to make installation impossible, it's probably too corrupted to copy anyway. I had problems with AOW2 and KOTOR installing, and my Morrowind disc was damaged (though still usable), and in all three cases, I failed to copy them.

Do you mean cylic redundancy? It might be something to do with the hard drive you are installing it on. Try a different partition/drive and check for any errors. Defragment may also be useful.

It probably is the CD, but it can be worth checking these things.
