help major problem with cd drive

I recently bought Baldur's Gate to play this game again (had played it before but lost a few cds over time). I have 2 cd drives, a dvd drive on top and a cd drive below it. I pop in the first cd and start installing. I get an error and now I cannot open my lower drive with the cd in it. Worse windows is not detecting either of my cd drives. What do i do?

Its a windows xp machine.

Im not one with technical stuff, but have you tried rebooting? Or turning off and then on?

Well if the drives dont open/close this is an hardware problem.
I recommand opening up the PC, and check if everything is still connected correctly.

If that doesn't help, you will probally need to buy new drives.

PS. I will move this thread to tech-support
