Angry Graphics brightness keeps changing

I use an ATI Radeon 9000 graphics card with the latest drivers and my brightness settings in the game will not remember their adjustments. Previous driver worked better but still had problems. Anyone had this problem - solutions????

Thanks!

Have you tried contacting Bioware about this problem?

I believe when you scan for hardware in the config menu, the game also scans for latest drivers

@Escalant, I'm moving your thread to the technical support forum, where hopefully someone can help you.

Can you revert back to the older driver or buy an nvidia card?

Unfortunately, ATI's driver support is somewhere between bad and horrible, and if you have a compatibility issue, there never seems to be a workable fix.

I've got a buddy who couldn't get is Radeon 9600 XT to work with his Biostar motherboard; it looked fine in Windows, but in a 3D game, it would flicker. He tried everything: BIOS flash, chipset driver, video card drivers, video BIOS flash, game patches, swapping monitors, format>reinstall; the whole 9 yards. After a lot of cursing and even getting a different Radeon 9600 XT, he bought a GeForce FX 5600 and hasn't looked back.

Well, nobody is free of problems with compatibility... Mi card is a Hercules and my motherboard is Gigabyte, and Iīve never had any problem until I updated the las drivers of the card. I think this issue will be fixed in the next revision. At this moment I donīt want anything that has to do with nVidia (except the nForce2 chipset my motherboard has ).

dun think it is a card problem. mine also kept changing back to default brightness..which was quite dark, when i go to new location.
BUT, after i went to the MAIN MENU, and adjusted the brightness level there, THEN load the game, wahlah! everything is as bright as it should be.
