GB page attempts to change Word global template?

A strange thing happened on one of my pc's this morning. I had left the BG SoA walkthrough page open all night.

When I went to the computer this morning, McAfee Personal Firewall alerted me that MS Word had been altered last night. I looked at the computer and the ToB walkthrough had mysteriously opened itself not in IE but in MS Word! I had never opened the ToB walkthrough, only the SoA one which was still there, open in IE!!! Word was slow to close this, and then a box popped up asking if I wanted to save changes to the Office global template. I had to go through clicking no twice on this before word would shut down.

Strangely enough, McAfee had run it's scheduled virus scan early this morning as well, and nothing was found. I'm running it again just to be sure. I ran AdAware and Spybot, and nothing unusual was found. I looked in the startup folder for word and it shows that the normal template was modifed last night. I checked the macro security settings and they are on high and to prompt me about add-ins. I also checked the Office folders for COM addins and for global template and other addins, and found nothing unusual.

If anyone knows what might have caused this, let me know. At any rate, there seems to be no harm done. Word is operating fine and the template looks to be the default one.

I must admit that I've never heard of this.

Are you sure some other "entity" (spouse, children, pets, ghosts) in your house couldn't accidently have messed around with your computer?
