Black&White(1) chrashing while loading - @mod: please move to tech support. thx.

Hello,

my friend wants to play black and white 1 on his pc but it crashes every time he wants to load the game. The screen is turning black, the mouse doesn't move anymore and the keyboard is dead, too. Checking the minimum system requirements, everything would be fine with his old computer (450mhz, 96 MB RAM, DirextX 8 - required was 350-400 mhz, 64 MB RAM, DirextX 7a)

Can anybody help, please?

Thanks
Keltoi

Edit: Sorry, I should have placed this request to the tech-support-forum. I appologize for this mistake!

Might have been a good idea. I have seen recent threads involving other games crashing, however none to do with anything other than RPGs.

Hopefully someone will be able to help you over in the tech support forum.

Tell him to get a real graphics card. A card with 8MB memory and hardly any kind of 3D capability is not going to run B&W.

Ah, OK, Thanks.
I guess he has to wait then, because he will - again - get my pc when my granddad buys himself a new one as I "inherit" his old one.
We always do that pc-trading... works very fine, as my granddad always buys a new high-end PC after one or two years. The two year old "snails" as my grandpa uses to call them suite me fine

Best wishes
Keltoi
