BG2 error installing most mods

im getting this error on 80% of mods ive tried to install:

error: Unix.Unix_error<20, "stat, "./DATA/DDANYTO103.BIF>

any thoughts would be appreciated.

This is maybe a very stupid question, but.. are you running the game on a Unix platform? Is that even possible?

windows xp pro. that's not problematic surely?

Well.. I don't see why a program running on Windows should give an error related to Unix. Do you have anything else installed that might relate to this?

You're not running a Unix simulator, as well? Nothing involving Unix?

i dont see why i'd be running anything unix related.

it appears that whatever error i was getting also was affecting the running of BG2. i unistalled TDD then BG2 as well as deleting a few mods. now my driver is not being recognized by the computer and therefore i have no access to CD/DVD drive. my issues may be a bit deeper than just the mods not working at the moment.

ive tried updating windows and otherwise downloading standard drivers but nothing is working. about to run a complete virus scan.

Sorry, this really out of my league. I'd have to sit behind your computer and study it for a while.
