obsidian and bioware together at last???

is this just a rumor or is it the truth? obsidian and bioware working together on the final part of the kotor saga? could this be the start of new jedi robes, new saber colors, and new character, or even new races? this may just be a rumor that was posted on both their websites but they said, "we are considering teaming up with obsidian/bioware for
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III." -title to be released in may.

Just out of interest though, why would them working together mean new jedi robes etc.? Can't one company do that on their own?
