I wouldn't mind giving up some of the speedy loading times for more areas at all. Oblivion had a slightly longer loading time, but it had a massive world. | How fast your computer is? I didn't have too long loading time either, but I was able to read hints and tips no problem. Anyways, if we have more areas that doesn't mean longer loading time, because the game is loading one area at a time, no matter how many of them are there. Loading time would be longer if areas were bigger, but there's really no need for that, just have more than three areas on each planet. Quote: |

| | | Please keep posts on topic. Discussing loading times for a KoTOR III is moot since the game itself isn't even officially in development. Furthermore, going into detail about KoTOR II is not appropriate for this forum, unless you are tying in possible KoTOR III storyline ideas to that game.

| | | I don't want the quick loading screens and more than 3 areas. Honestly, I don't care if it takes a long time to load if the map's HUGE. I'd like to get lost in the map, in the world created for us. Make it seem more realistic, and not allow me to remember where I am. If it's huge, you'll have to think a lot more, not just remember what loading screen you saw when you got the objective.

On that note about huge cities, they should have not only people walking around or conversing with each other but also cars moving around the city. That would, in my opinion, give it more of a city atmosphere.

Species, too, why are we always human? It'd change the gameplay slightly if you weren't human the 10th time you played the game.
| I don't see how this would change gameplay. In Jedi Academy you had a whole load of options, but they made no difference to the way the game panned out, which was disappointing. Quote: |
Agreed on editting your ship. I don't know about making one, as people have voiced earlier, but ya, I'd like to either re-arrange or just edit colors. How about this idea: in a Disney game, "Kingdom Hearts," you can choose from a variety of pieces, like 'cockpit' and 'engine.' Incorperate that into KOTOR III; make the "storage room" have 3 or 4 different shapes or placements, or something like that, and the "cockpit" have 3 or 4 different arrangement of seats, or # of seats, or stuff like that. Wouldn't be TOO hard.
| I think it would. How would your party memebers be positioned? What about any elemts of gameplay that happen on the ship? Allowing changes minor enough to let this happen would probably not be worth it. Quote: |
I for one did not like the "attack what I attack only" thing. I liked attacking weak people when I was all powerfull, and have a real fight. I didn't like getting 1 move in then my buddies hack his back and he goes down before attacking me.
| Ahem, solo mode. Quote: |
Driving wouldn't be too bad. Actual space fighting, not just from the turret once or twice. Be able to pilot, or at least move when you're fighting, not just be a sitting duck.
| This sounds like another game. Being able to pilot the ship whilst fighting would involve a completely different set up. |

It will be a lot easier that way rather than controlling both the turret and the movement of the vehicle. Quote: |

They could have traffic lights or something to direct the traffic. Zebra crossings at roads so that people can walk to the other side. That's my rough idea so far.

| | | Just to clear up, I didn't mean literally getting lost in the map would be good, I meant figuritively, like getting lost in a good book. You're not actually saying "holy crap, I can't find my way out of this book, I'm gonna starve to death!" haha but ya, I gotta work on making myself clear, this isn't the first time des has misunderstood me.

But after a bit, I actually quite like the fact that you can't. It would be fairly tedious to suffer the same non-informative conversation with every random npc.
I don't see what's wrong with the way most of the cities were in either of ther KOTORs - I'd just like to see more of 'em! And obviously, certian parts only get opened up when you've done certain quests - like getting to the lower levels of Telos.
Gosh, I'm quite the fanboy, it seems. |

| | I'd have to agree with you there bigredpanda. I like the way the cities are set up, but I wouldn't mind a few more areas or more than one city on a planet, or just more cities in general

I'm not saying that is everyone or that anyone thinks that way but it does seem to be the impression I get that a lot of people think of Sith.
In the KOTOR games so far Sith haven't been cunning. I mean in 1 they were everywhere and self-richeous because they had so many people. In 2 they were so few that when you saw them they were so clustered they were just silent and again over-hyped. I want to see silent, deadly and secret Sith that know they are Sith that hide and seek to subvert Jedi in their efforts. Not ones that you always know are Evil - Kreia - but just can't do anything about. | thinking about you're "idea of sith having red lightsabers" thing, i think it'd be awesome if there were sith/sith bosses that used a blue lightsaber, that way in case you're like me and like to recreate battles from the movies for the fun of it, you can re-enact Anakin vs. Obiwan. so i think itd be cool to choose the Sith Lord's saber color |

| | well, first off, I'd like at least one not depressing ending. Even the light side ending of kotor 2 was depressing, even the light side ending. also, I'd like to be able to take on a padawan. not just show them the path, but actually teach them through conversation and action about the force throughout the game. I mean, the conversation style is perfect for it. I'd like to see the ability to influence return. I'd also like to choose defferent alien races, and not have to be human. Maybe have different unique abilities, depending on the race. I'd also like to see the environment be interactable. I wanna be able to force throw stuff at enemies. also i want to be able to attack certain parts of the body (i.e. head, arm, torso) and do more damage if you attack from behind.
also I'd like to see some of the following characters return:
Bao-dur (beleive it or not, i did kinda like him)
Atton
Handmaiden/Brianna
HK-47
Mandalore/Canderous
Visas
Mira
Zaalbar
Revan
Bastila
Jolee
overall, if they do it more or less like a combination of kotors 1 and 2. They'll be ok. A 1 ending with 2 gameplay.

| | | The ending to KOTOR2 was a bit like the ending to Empire Strikes Back, though, i.e. a slightly miserable one. I actually prefered it that way - the Republic was in ****, after all.
Force throwing objects would be cool. You'd have to redesign the combat system - perhaps make it less turn-based, which was suggested earlier in this thread (I think - might have been another one). Something a bit more like X-Men Legends would work. Maybe. |

| | | Gameplay Some ppl think the lightsabers shuld be more realistic.. they probly shud like comon 1 hit usually and atleast ther arm shud be like cut off, but that would make the game harder and easier in a way ,,
Easier, u can kill enemys alot faster
Harder, they can kill u just as easy and game over alot more.
1 thing they can do is change the gameplay , maybe like u gota use the mouse click at a certain time to block the other lightsabers/blasters/ and also click the rite time to attack so it would make it more realistic, i wouldnt mind the game like that
