My idea: a new direction

Well everybody seems to be saying associate it with the Exile & Revan. Personally i loved the first two gamnes but i think that storyline has run its course.

My idea: Knights of the New Republic: A New Rising

Based around the fall of the empire and the rebuilding of a new republic. With a very very small cameo from luke skywalker.

In this some of the original followers of the empire are secretly amassing a last attempt to prevent the new jedi order from flourishing. For example a group of sith who have a small academy on a desolate planet. (probably ending up being korriban). Headed by a leader mimicking darth vaders appearance with a touch up and slightly more futuristic look. The job of the main character will be to prevent such an uprising and secure the new jedi order. My best idea to prevent another 'exception' for the young training rule would be that tyhe main character hid out during the times of the empire after dueling with vader. And of course acquiring the ebon hawk (upgraded) and some new comrades along the way.

NPC's:

- T3
- Sian Jeisel (a jedi not accounted for during the purge - survived and allocated to travel with by council) i picked one at random, her or another!
- HK Assasin Droid
- Rebel Alliance troop (carth/atton equivalent) (jedi trainable) a new found friend who wont let you leave without him
- Sith Male/Female character dependant (visas/disciple eq) fight then joins team
- Ex stormtrooper (canderous/mandalore eq) joins team due to respect/help. argues with rebel troop
- Wookie character (hanharr/zaalbar eq) - i have no idea how?
- 2 more random characters

Worlds:

- Coruscant
- Korriban
- Random Space Station
- Geonosis
- Dantooine
- Kamino (taken over by sith to create new army)

Saber Colours:

- Green
- Light Blue
- Dark Blue
- Purple
- Orange
- Yellow
- Synthetic Red
- Red

Rare colours

- Bronze
- Silver
- Blood Red
- Viridian
- Pink

New features:

- Saber hilt options (design wise)
- More customisable main character appearance
- More lcothes options such as boots, shoulders/back

I think this would be better off in one of the existing threads on this subject.

I also think a clue to what's in the next game might be in the franchise title, "Knights of the OLD Republic".

Fair enough. I can see what you mean in terms of distancing it from the films. Id would be nice to see a similar rpg set in another era maybe after the KOTOR trilogy though. Not that im not a fan of the Old Republic era. Im just trying to be unique i guess

Well it sounds interesting, but i'm going to have to disagree. I like the whole Old Republic arc they have. I'd rather play a game that has little to no similarities to the films.

I'll refer the thread creator to the sticky posts in this forum regarding new thread creation in this forum. Please read those threads as they outline posting policies that are unique to this forum. Threads already exist which address idea topic for a possible KOTOR III. I say "possible" because such a game does not even exist.
