Thumbs up A terentatek infestation bonus mission

You're on the Ebon Hawk and you get a distress call on the intercom about a space station being overrunned by terentateks and are killing everyone. Not only do you face terentateks, but the worst of them: Greater terentateks. Those things are bigger and more deadlier than their lesser cousins. They can go through jedi like a hot knife through warm butter. Terentateks were one of the most deadlier creatures in KOTOR 1.

how did they get on the space station? it would make more sense if it was a planet that was being overun by them, but the whole idea of a tarentatek infestation would be pretty good

Okay, we could say a planet being overrunned by them if it sounds better than the space station idea. How they got in the space station? a sith lord put them there in a trojan horse-type scenerio.

LOL, when I first saw the title of this forum I thought you were proposing an elite version of the gizka infestation. I was curious how a Terentatek was even supposed to fit on your ship/the 'Hawk...
Yeah, that'd be cool, but they'd have to about double the game length just to give the player enough time to level up high enough to not die immediately. Those 'teks are a pain to fight even at lvl 20.

I think they should reverse the idea in this game. Instead of a infestation they deal with an extinction.

The Terentatek done something horrible to someone and he/she put a very high bounty on them. DS have to actually slay them and the poachers for the money and LS have to stop the poachers and convince the person to take the bounty off the market.

The benefits of this idea is it has a DS and a LS way to complete it.

only prob with that is that the tarentatek are beast of the sith so the jedi were actually hunting them to extinction if you ask about it in the first kotor. so it would make more sense if in this case, ds was trying to save them while ls were trying to wipe them out.

Yeah i thought about that my idea didn't really involve the terentatek. It sorta involved a different creature, a creature that benefits a planet and would be very unfortunate of it to go extinct.

its not for the whole of the game- its more as a mini-game/side quest (optional so you wouldn't have to do it if you didn't want to)

I think as a side-quest that could be really cool. Have rumours of tarentateks on a force-aligned planet like dantooine or koriban, and your character has to go and eliminate them.

Those worlds are a little too open for my taste - terentateks would work better on Kashyyk (sp?) or in an enclosed area - perhaps attacking a wookie village and you have to save them...

Like i said to add little originality to the game, have two ways of dealing with the situation, Light side (LS) is someone wants them alive an the player has to stop the poaching and dark side (DS) the player goes around the planet exterminating them.

The jedi tried to exterminate them...

Of course it wouldnt have to be terentateks - it could be a krayt dragon or something...

"someone wants them alive" is what i said, meaning someone paid or requested the jedi order to help save them. Now i know the jedi don't like them and in fact hunt them, i'm pretty sure they would make an exception if it pleased the settlement.
