| | | Your opinion on exploiting bugs/glitches Following on from Sir_greyhawk's excellent poll asking people if they use cheats, I was wondering how many people make use of the various bugs and glitches in the game, and how many are purists?
To clarify, by using a bug or a glitch I mean performing an action or conversation repeatedly, simply in order to repeatedly get the XP, Influence or Stats bonuses that it produces. |

| | | And no sooner do I post the wretched poll, than I realise that I've missed one: infinite componants/cheemicals exploits. I suggest you all use the 'something else you've forgotten' option for that! |

| | | i don't use xp increasing bugs etc. in kotor games because i honestly don't feel that you need to as its pretty easy anyway once you get past the start. i do in other games though (sometimes) |

| | | I tend not to either, partly because I find it feels like cheating, and partly because there's no point exploiting for XP in KOTOR anyway, as everyone scales with you...
I did try out the ultimate Hsiss once just so see what being level 50 was like... |

| | First of all, Thanks .
Secondly, I voted no because for one, I dont know any glitches besides that hisshiss one, and secondly I'd rather just use proper cheats anyway, people may say its better because it sort of legitamate, but it isnt, it just takes longer.

| | | Exploiting bugs is part of any RPG, to a point. As far as Kotor 2 goes, I use the infinate alignment bug on Koriban to restore my light mastery after getting INF with GOTO and HK-47.

It doesn't seem to be in the gamebanshee guide... |

When you meet the illusion of Kreia, stand with her against the others saying it is so she can be redeemed later. As long as she survives the fight you fail the test, but get ls points. As far as I know you can keep doing it until someone kills her.

| | | Hmmm. I had always thought that the kind of points you got if you failed the test(s) in the cave were opposite to your own alignment, so if you were LS you'd get DS points here? |

The only way to pass this test is for Kreia to die. So as long as you and her survive the battle, you don't get ds points and the test is repeated.

| | | Personally - in single player games I have no problem with people exploiting bugs and glitches. It is their own game and it is only themselves which feels the effect.
Personally - I do it very rarely because it can quickly destroy the feel of the game in my book. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
