The point of prestige classes is customization. The point in the game not giving you various feats outright is because this is a roleplaying (type) game and not a FPS. The point in Visas master not being "difficult" to kill, well - good for you.
If you just want to rant, at least make it somewhat constructive, but do not expect to get taken seriously by anybody. |

Once you get Jedi MAster you entire style of play changes. +6 against enemy resists completely alters your force powers. |

| | | I think it's basically to give you an opportuntiy to change your character class half way through the game if you want to. If you don't want to, you can always pick the 'same' prestige class as your original class, or not take a prestige class at all.
Another good reason for it that free level up... |
