| SPOILERS AHEAD.
I am sorry for the long black text. The things below are what I gathered from the final speech of Kreia and some other NPCs (mostly comments of T3, HK-47, G0-T0 and some random ramblings of Disciple). I'm sorry I don't remember the exact conversational route you have to take, but basically Revan knew about the true Sith's existence beyond the Outer Rim all along (before the events of KOTOR1). Revan's whole crusade against the Republic was a struggle to get the known galaxy united under one banner so he could fight the real threat of the true Sith. Revan never actually intended to use the Starforge for long, because it was feeding the dark side of the force, making the true Sith stronger in some way.
Probably after retrieving his memory (events of KOTOR1) and seeing the stupidity of Darth Malak (corrupted by power, didn't at all understand what Revan was trying to do in the first place although he was second in command), Revan decided he could not fight the Sith by amassing this huge army against them. People were too weak and were corrupted too easily. He decided only the strongest heroes could fight against the true Sith, but thought it was time he left the known galaxy and start his war against the true Sith. He didn't take anyone with him (and Kreia is somewhat disappointed Revan didn't ask her to come) but left clues as to where he was going and what he was going to do.
One of these clues is Kreia (she knows what Revan is doing, though it's not clear if Revan told her or if she figured it out herself). I think T3 and the voice locked navcomputer of the Ebon Hawk also have some information. Probably, HK-47 knew some stuff too, but he has had too many memory losses to figure it out (unless a character helps him). Revan probably visited Korriban to leave behind more clues, as he never rallied the known Sith to end the Republic or wage war on some other power (instead, he just left them where they are).
Kreia also mentions that in the end, you may end up following Revan to the Outer Rim and helping him out. |
