Swoop trouble (XboX/PC diff?)

Hi!
I suck at swoop racing so I just want to get through it. I read the "instant win" tip on these pages (pause, exit race and unpaus, crash into a wall). but it just won't work. Whenever I paus it says "Press Q to forfeit" (or whatever I've set that key to), but no matter how much I press it, paused or not, nothing happends.
Is that trick a XboX only thing?? (If so I think the tip page should mention that). Is there any other way to make it a bit easier other than modding the track? (the pause/step method from KotOR I doesn't realy work now).

I think it's an Xbox only tip.

Then again, I don't swoop race in this one. It doesn't advance the plot any.

Can anyone please point me to the modded swoop tracks? I had a page with all kinds of files for KotOR I/II, among them modded tracks for II.. but I can't seem to find that page again :/
