Problem with Atton as Jedi

I'm playing through trying to make npc's jedi as fast as possible. I went straight to Nar Shadaa right after Telos and got Atton to a Jedi, but he cannot use his force powers. He is level 12, and doesn't have any armor on, but when I choose the force powers I gave him, speed and heal, it says "force powers depleted" Any ideas? Is his level too low? Thanx

I just leveled up Atton to 13 and his force powers turned on.

I guess there are no level 12 jedi in the star wars universe.

He cannot use his Force Powers until you level him up one time AFTER he becomes a Jedi. That's because he cannot gain feats except at level up because of the way the game engine works, and 'Force Sensitive' is a Feat, albeit one he gets automatically the next time he levels up after becoming a Jedi.

Yes, it annoys me to. The trick is to hold back at least one level before you make him a Jedi, then you can level him up at once.

Thanks - this is only my second time through the game and I didn't remember that the first time through.
