Alright, I know we don't know the full story on the plot of II, but from what I do know, I'm worried. Assume you went light side in I, and Revan was redeemed, the Star Forge destroyed, and the Sith all but wiped out, how, in the space of five years, could the remaining Sith find the resources, the manpower, and the equipment to all but defeat the Republic? Another thing, if your character in II is the last remaining Jedi, how did the Sith manage to kill Revan, the most powerful Jedi of his time? Or Bastilla? I hope we at least get the story on how they died.
It seems like the developers created this plot assuming you were a dark side player in the first one.

Easy if you dont remember not the entire sith fleet was there all the ships that fought the republic didn't come from other parts of the galaxcy but came from the star forge itself so there is still the overwelmming number of sith scattered around the galaxcy

All douching aside, does anyone know exactly how long after KotORI this is gonna take place? 'Cause if it's only five years then yeah, that's a little unbelievable...oh wait, this is a game about Force weilding aliens 20000 years ago that fly ships that can make sound in space (and fire/explosions too for that matter) and travel faster than the speed of light.

Sometimes its fun to just ignore those points and play the game. If it was truely realistic you'd never hear those Sith fighters firing at you from behind. Think how much that would suck. If you're gonna call some elements of the game unbelievable or impossible, take a step back and look at the whole premise of the Star Wars Universe. It's not meant to be real. It's a place you can let your mind go if you want a break from reality. Same goes for all RPGs.

If what I've read about the game is true, that they've decided to rehash the original trilogy by once again destroying the Jedi, I'm not real happy. To me it lessens the enormity of what the Empire managed to do: exterminate the Jedi order. I mean, if it has been done before, then it makes the Empire little more than an also-ran.

How do you mean rehash the original trilogy? The staory of both Kotor and Sith Lords takes place 4000 years before the events of the films.

Besides, I'm sure you shouldn't have to be told that there are a finite ammount of ideas, and that you should expect to see similar story lines for things that are in similar veins of thought...the star wars universe focuses heavily on the Jedi Order and, therefore, most of the stories are going to involve them somehow at odd with other jedi eventually...

I'm sick of people treating the Original Star Wars trilogy as sacrosanct and criticizing even the slightest inconsistency. What matters is how engaging the game and story line are...

also, adashiel, I hope you plan on returning to this board, since it is your only post on gamebanshee, and it seems to me a complete waste of time to register for something just to criticize a single game...

Well, sometimes, games are like that. Take the whole Dark Forces series. At the end of Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, you are either a light or dark Jedi. The games that follow are all based on the idea that you chose the light side.
