Lightsaber Parts

Where can you find the three Lightsaber parts? This thread is my main reason for joining, and if I get an nice responce, I might stay...

Just tell me where you can find the three parts!

(Where to find other crystals would be nice too!)

This is an often asked question. It would be quicker to search than to wait for some kind soul to wearily point you in the right direction....

*sigh* Try this thread over on the obsidian forums. It is about lightsabers, but any lightsaber drop point will yield a lightsaber part instead, if you haven't completed your own.

also, where you will find the parts depends on which planet you do first (for example if you are on dantooine, you will be able to get a part off a salvager and from visas). you do however always get a part on telos before you leave.

Getting the lightsaber is fairly easy... just finish as many quests as possible. For example, the husband on Nar Shadaa and the freighter captain of the grounded transport will both give you pieces, I believe.

Basically, you need 4 parts.

The Energy Cell is given to you when you get access to the shuttle to leave Telos Station. It is given you by either the Ithorians or Czerka, depending who you sided with.

The Emitter comes from defeating Visas. She appears on the Ebon Hawk if 1) you have boarded it at least once before and 2) you have a strong alignment one way or the other.

The lens can be obtained on your first 'optional' planet. Most of them have more than one place you can get it. In addition to the places mentioned above, you can find it inside a cannok on Dxun, on the body of Lorna Vash on Korriban, and in Vogga's hoard if you rob him. Whichever of these trigger points you do first will give you the lens. After that, all the other trigger points will give you a saber when you reach them.

The last piece you need is a colour crystal. There are no 'fixed' locations for these, and I have at least once been in the awkwards position of not finding one until long after I've got the other pieces. The salvager who sells Jedi relics on Dantooine seems to have the best chance of having one of all the traders, but any of them might have one. The only 'fixed' (non-random) drop I know of for one is on your return to Onderon, where you can loot a natty viridian one from the museum.

the quickest and easiest way to get a colour crystal is just to buy it for a couple of hundred credits on telos citadel station. the main weapon and armour store there always sells one

Truly? I'd never even noticed. I guess I'm not usually thinking about sabers at that stage in the game so it went past me...

By the way, what happens if you are a 'grey jedi', deliberately staying in the middle of the alignment bar. Does that mean that you never meet Visas and thus can never build a saber? Or does the part turn up somewhere else? Has anyone tried it?

if u play through grey then u meet visas after your third planet (after Telos) and u would get the lightsaber part form another of the trigger points
