I know theres theres a thread about this somewhere about Uthar Wynns door being locked. But noone said how they opened the door to begin with. I have mines but I cant place them. Then theres something about a holocron. How do u get that and what does it do.

Use the Thorium charges you find in the academy (I think the library room).

Be careful not to go to the torture room before you use the thorium charges. Otherwise you'll get caught up in some unavoidable parts of the story and then you'll find yourself locked out of the academy.
