Keep missing while attacking?

Finished KOTOR I with ease as a guardian (actually fluctuated from dark to light through the game), and weilded 2 lightsabers. Just started KOTOR II with a sentinel (now level 10) and I'm at the Czerka Site in Telos. Have not been missing a ton so far with dual vibroswords but once the main battle in this sector started against all the mercinaries, I cannot hit ANYTHING. I've switched to single and then to a repeating laser rifle (and I almost never use rifles with my main character), and I still am missing about 80% of the time. Trying to use force abilities like whirwind to hold them in place, but I still miss.

Am I missing something? My guardian in KOTOR I hit almost every time while using critical strikes and power attacks, now not even my normal attack is working? Here's the stats:

Jedi Sentinel lvl 10:
Strength: 14+2
Dexterity: 12+1
Constitution: 15+2
Intelligence: 13+1
Wisdom: 14+2
Charisma: 14+2
Vitality: x/135
Force: x/112
Defense: 16
Fortitude: 10
Reflex: 12
Will: 8

Ive tried using implants and such for more reflex thinking that was my problem but I dont get why I'm missing so much. Never seen this before - especially not in the first game?

Any help?

First of all, your strength and dex are a bit low. They affect your chances to hit (for melee and ranged weapons respectively). In my experience, and balanced character is a failed character (for powergaming that is).

Secondly, as suggested by the previous poster, if you choose to dual-weild, it is practically compulsory to take the two-weapon fighting tree. You might want to consider attack boosting items.

With your stats I'd really say use force powers. Use implants. It's a hard battle, there's no doubt about that. Have Kreia use buffing powers. Activate shields. Believe me, it will work. And if you prefer smacking things up, put more points in strength.

I had that problem as well, my to hit was at 9 for both weapons at that point, but when I got to level 12, my to hit was up to 25 for both weapons and i rarely missed after that, It is just strength mainly and dex a bit as well, as sentinel, you should focus on wisdom for FP's and Strength for your light saber wielding, did me fine as a sith assasin

As a 10th level Sent you don't have enough points yet to have a lot or higher tier force powers, and eventually that is going to be more of a strength for you than melee. Unfortunetly, (or fortunetly heh), this game is all about melee and your stats are way to spread out for you to be a real good melee type at lower levels. (Once you get higher level, 20+ you will see a HUGE improvement in melee even as a Sent). My suggestion to you right now is to make yourself some upgrades for your armor that boost Strength and Dex. And more importantly, make some upgrades for your weapons that give you + to hit. Both for your ranged weapons and especially your melee weapons. Also, make, buy or find any items that boost strength and dex and +to hit. There are some really good items out there, even at lower levels. Making your own is your best bet because you can customize your rig with what ever you need. And don't neglect Con, you can't win a fight if you can't take the damage. And don't forget to activate them shields before every fight. :P

Now might be a good time to use the stimulants you have been picking up. It can be a big difference at times.
