Help needed.

I can't seem to find all the parts to repair HK 47, and he was one of my favorite characters in KotOR I (at least I didn't have to watch his face and ask him questions to get that funny look off of it). Is there a quick way to get him all together, and then is he of any use to the story line? I've been all the way through the game three times and haven't found all the "parts" yet. Any help would be appreciated.

The parts can typically be found on druid merchants throughout the game. Notably, check the druid merchants outside of the outpost in Dantoine, the druid vender in Onderon, and the parts vendor in Nar Shadda. Also, you can find parts on the HK-50 models you destroy on Nar Shadda and Telos (As a disclaimor, I beat the game on light side. I'm assuming these encounters are there, regardless). I found the quickest way to get the parts was, generally, to go to Nar Shadda. I found, I think, all the parts I was missing there (after Telos). I imagine there's a bit of randomness to it, though.

The encounters with the HK-50s are just the same in light side as they are in dark side. And there is no randomness to the parts you get, which is the annoying part of it. You will likely end up with a couple repeated parts. The droid vendor on Nar Shadaa is a good start, and the one on Onderon. But going there is not wise until later in the game.

You should be able to get HK repaired after your first planet, if that's Nar Shaddaa... (don't know about Dantooine). First part is on Peragus droid, second is on Telos droids, third part is on Nar Shaddaa droids (in the warehouse with T3) and the final part can be bought on Dantooine or Nar Shaddaa (don't know about Onderon)

i got the vocabulator from the HK corpse on peragus
I got another HK part from the 3 HK droid corpse on telos polar zone
dont remember where i got another HK part

I just got the HK chasis from a corpse on Nar Shadaa, i believe when T3 steals the freighter codes.
