| | | Handmaiden Jedi problem (**spoiler**) **spoiler** (as if anything in here isn't a spoiler!!)
Ok, I'm on Nar Shaddaa. I've haven't done much yet (this is my first planet after Telos). But the Handmaiden is mad at me for something I've done with Visas. Please spare me all the banter on "how could you ignore the Handmaiden, she's so hot" and such. I didn't mean to and as far as I can tell I really haven't done anything with Visas.
My question is: Is there a way this early in the game to correct this and win enough influence to convert her, or is it possible to drive her the other way with hate and still convert her? And, if either option is possible, how would I do it?
I've heard rumors of being able to get someone in your party to hate you enough to turn them to the force, but I don't know any details.
Thanks in advance for the help.

| | | From what I've heard, you're generally screwed. But I haven't been able to get her to hate me, for I've never gained much influence with Visas. If you have a savegame somewhere before meeting Visas, try getting influence with Handmaiden first, then with Visas. Shouldn't be too hard if you take Onderon or Nar Shaddaa as first planet. |

| | | Are you still able to duel with Handmaiden on the Ebon Hawk? If so, you can gain influence that way with her. |

| | I got her so pissed at me that all she ever says is something in the terms of "I have nothing more to say to you..." |

| | | No, I can't duel with her once she's mad at me. She won't even talk to me at all. But I should add one piece of info. I had saved the game just before speaking to her and once I found out I couldn't talk with her I reloaded right away. Also, I've tried every option in the conversation but nothing changes her mind.

| | | I can't tell you if this is recoverable as once I had it happen I reloaded since the cause was rather obvious. It relates to not only influence with Visas but being dark side aligned (so far as I can tell). It only happened to me when this was the case. When I was extremely light side aligned the handmaiden had no problems with me spending time with Visas.
If you want to play it out you might want to try switching to light sided, however if your plan was to corrupt the handmaiden into a Dark Guardian, well forget using dialog to gain influence and she will no longer duel you. As a dark sider, your best bet is to leave Visas well enough alone (at least don't ask about her eyes or why she protects you from her master) until 18th level by which time the handmaiden will be up for duel number 3 and ripe for turning to the dark side. (Should you be dark enough the similarities she finds between you and her father and her mother's story actually change). Not to mention the HM looks far better dark sided than light. |

| | | No, it happened to me too when play lightside. You're allignment has nothing to do with it. It's more like the Handmaiden is pissed because you've been fooling around on her.
Spoiler? You apparantly have to choose who you're making little jedi with. Visas or Brianna. After getting a lot of influence with Brianna and having Mira on board, you walk on the ship and Mira is giving Brianna advice on men and I guess your chances of making little Mira jedi are screwed. |

| | | Nope, I managed to get all of them Jedi... I just never got much influence with Visas, so that might be the problem. |

| | | Visa is fairly easy to gain influence with, I've managed to push her fully to the light so that she even aquires the light mastery bonus, just be nice and repond to her questions with the usual light side fluffiness, as for hand maiden she's easy to convert, you do loose some influence with her when you wont hurt visa but there is still more than enough to bump her back to fully light and make her a kick arse guardian.

| | | You can get some Influence easy for Handmaiden on Dantooine. When You are going out of cave where you find Vrook, you will be attacked by mercenaries. Just attack them. If Handmaiden is with you, she will get some influence. By the way, if Kreia is with you too by then, you can use [Lie]. She will get some influence, but Handmaiden will lost some. |

| | I found the solution to the Handmaiden problem, when she gets angry at you and there is nothing you can do to solve it.
My solution was to use the kotor savegame editor (KSE) and modify the saved game in the -globals-numeric.
Basically I think I changed all the parameters related to the handmaiden to 0 and the hand_love to 1. I also changed the influence in the character section to 100.
I've tweaked with it several times until I found the right combination of parameters, but I was able to recover the handmaiden.
Now she is a mean jedi fighting machine!!! |

| | | I'm on my second attempt at a game solely intentioned for trying to convert my ship-mates to Jedi with no success. I just don't get it.
I should add that I installed a tweak where Bao-Dur's little droid tells you the amount of influence you have with others and I have 100% with those I'm trying to convert. I've light side mastery and am a Guardian/Master.
It's irrelevant but I also installed the D20 conversion so I'm 35th level along with most of the crew now (the mod gets you to the 50th level cap easier and makes enemies tougher based on your level). I just can't see why I cannot seem to find the dialogue which lets you train others as Jedi.
The last game I tried this before the D20 and other add ins. I made it to Malachor without success at converting anyone and positively had high influence with everyone in the party. Just couldn't find the dialogue optioins to train anyone at any time. I've got the v2.01 patch and everything.
I'm dawdling on this game trying to find a way of making Jedi, so I've been through Telos, Onderon, Nar Shaddaa and back to Onderon just now (but have hit a stupid crash bug there so it looks like I'll have to abandon this game anyway). I figure with only Dantooine and Korriban left I really should've been able to train the crew as Jedi by now.
I've no problem achieving light side mastery pretty early on or gaining influence with the characters. So I just don't get it.
WTF am I doing wrong, or aren't doing right? Do you have to be a darksider to train your crew or something? |

| | | Bao-Dur and Disciple should be no problem, only thing you need there is influence. Did you meet the twileks on Nar Shaddaa yet? They are needed for Atton. For Mira, you need to be on Nar Shaddaa for the 'conversion' to work. For Handmaiden, you just need to spar three times, did you do that yet? |

| | You are doing a lot right. You need 90% or more influence (or 10% or less) to make Jedi, and it is easier not harder if you are LS. The rest is conversation and trigger events.
The last thread I participated in has some info here ( Search is your friend). |

| | | You can prolly get her to talk to you if you take her with you and do some good deeds. That will help. I think. Its worth a try. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
