Well - I don't rush through games either, if that is what you think, but I rarely just stand around for things to happen.
I did fly to a fro a few planets to trigger some party quests, but that dosen't take long.

(OT: Spilter Cell rocked - have only played the original, but that was great)

The second one is better.
(Splinter Cell)

And yes... I also did some flying to and fro between planets, but I tried to avoid that, because I absolutely abhore that little "shoot the incoming fighters!" game. AH! KILL IT!

I don't care how long the game is, or how difficult the enemies are. I want more than 20 level ups. Make the force powers weaker and give me more force powers and more force points. I'm also into the gimmickie way of beating foes. Attacking head on not work? Make the ceiling fall in there heads. Can't pass a wall of Ice? Melt it. Gimmicks are always good. I enjoyed hacking computers and frying the guys in the room next door.

Because before I do ANYTHING, I have to scale the place, kill any enemy that is inside, take everything I can, and make sure everything is perfect before I go. And lot's of times in KotOR, I just run around with my companions to make them talk to each other. My favorite is when Bastile trips Mission... Oh yeah. But anyways, the sad thing is, I still haven't done everything in the game, I'm sure. I'm just one of those people who go through games slowly, because I don't want to miss anything. And it doesn't bother me that it takes me weeks (maybe even months) to beat a game, I'm fine with that. But people hate watching me play, and that's fine with me.
I also always have to explore every inch of every place and kill everything that moves and finish every quest, but the first time I played (I missed only a couple quests) it took me about 28 hours. Somehow, that time seems to be my average, because in every game since, it takes me about 28 hours to finish the game. Only one time did I take longer (33 hours before I even made it to the Unknown World, and I still don't know how I managed that; I blame the Genoharadan quest), but it was due to excessive travelling back and forth from planets.

I didn't care much for the swoop racing, and I hated Pazaak; I wasn't bad, but I wasn't good either (somehow, if I went into a game and played a few hands, I would come out of the session with a net change of 0 credits, every time). Swoop racing for me was easy; I rarely ever had to do a tier over. The one thing I would like to see, and I mentioned this in another thread, would be more dueling. It would just be a bit more interesting, cuz you know swoop racing and pazaak don't give you experience, just credits.

Having every planet be as "big" as Taris was would probably be very time-consuming, but I don't disagree. It doesn't seem realistic to me to have a whole planet to explore and be stuck with only 3-4 small areas. Like Kashyyyk; you know the Shadowlands stretch on forever, so why not jump over a fallen tree and take a look? However, people probably wouldn't want too many mini-quests bogging up the game and detracting from the big, overall mission. If you had as many quests on every planet as you did on Taris, it'd probably get a bit boring (and probably repetitive; programmers aren't exactly the most creative bunch).
