What was your total time spent on your first run-through?

The total time as of my last save at the end of my first run through the game was 125 hours and 48 minutes.

Yeah, that's right, almost 126 freaking hours.

But that's because i'm one of those people who suffers immensely from a complete and total lack of any decision-making qualities whatsoever. I'd sit for well over an hour on many occasions just trying to decide which level up's I wanted for a character.

Not to mention how many times I saved throughout the game in order to ensure the best possible outcome of every event that occurred. (Seeing what every outcome was by choosing one, then reloading the game and choosing another.)

This has helped me out the second time through, being that I now know what the results will be for each and every action in the game, helping me to construct the perfect outcome of my preference.

But still... 126 freaking hours. Ugh.

I thought 30hrs was bad. How long does it take you to pick a pair of socks in the morning... Oh, yeah... 13hrs??? Yeah, right!

LMMFAO!!

Actually, the socks are relatively easy for me.

13 HOURS??? Ok, NO freaken way. HOW in the HELL did you complete that huge mofo in 13 hours?!! Now, 30 hours seems impossible at best, but 13??

No way.

Did you never save? Did all the answers just... flow?

HOW IN THE HELL. Sorry, but I... I don't believe it. I just... can't.

We ARE talking from start to finish here, right?

Spend about 24hours on my first run, missing some minor quests and not doing all swoop racing.

Didn't spend much more on my second completing most of what I missed in the first. (Like practically all party member quests, and swoop races).

This game isn't terrible large.

Man, I don't know how you do it. I guess I like to savor the games I get into. That's about the only way I can describe it. I don't want to miss anything, especially on a game as incredible as this. That, and it's my first "RPG". So have pity, dammit!

Still trying to figure what the hell 'keen' is... amongst others terms.

I used 30 hours the first time, then I used 20 hours three times and last it took me 19 hours to complete. I finished all the missions and the swoop racing

Well - I think one of the reasons might be you're new to RPGs.
Many of others are "oldies" in the RPG genre, so we (I, anyways) already have a good graps of rules and mechanics.
I savor games as well, and I usually do almost everything, but I did not find this game that challenging besides a few combat situations.

KOTOR is not that challenging. Temple's combats were far more challenging and BG's scripts were more thought provoking. KOTOR is a damn good game though but it is not really a massive RPG like FF or BG.

On my first try (light side), it took me 27 hours to complete.

On my second try (dark side), it took me 17 hours to complete.

On my third try (light side), it took me 15 hours to complete.

But every time you play an RPG (unless if there is a wealth of scripts) the time it takes you to finish should be lower each subsequent time. The first time I played BG2 it took me at least 80-90 hours because I spent almost a week and a half at least 10 hours each day beating it! (How addictive that game was...I basically became a hermit.) Now it takes me around 30-40 hours and 50 with TOB. All without cheating of course so no shadow keeper to "enchance" your team.

I could beat Malak (final battle) in just over two minutes playing dark side. As for light side and packed with equipment that gave me a ton of saves and using master valor, Malak is quite pathetic. If you want an almost unbeatable final fight, battle Melissan using Gaider's mod. I STILL can't beat that battle without losing almost all my party members.

Xandax is right. Those who are similar to the system know what to equip and how to level up and etc. Those who don't really like the poster who created this thread take a lot of time doing so not to mention at character creation. He should play IWD it might take him hours since you have to create 6 party members from scratch.

Yeah, this game was a first for me, RPG-wise. It didn't help much that i'd leave the game running while studying the instructions, trying to figure out what the hell all the terms mean and what they do, (which didn't help much), and I spent quite a few hours at that... not to mention running off and leaving it idle to eat dinner or whatnot... a LOT.

But i'm reeeally picky about trying everything. It still takes me forever to decide what i'm going to do with level ups. And this is my second time through. For some reason, I have a lot of trouble with this game. It consumes me with indecision.

Right now, i'm toying with a bug I just found. And it's ONE SWEET BUG. I didn't find anything in the forums about it, nor the strategy guide, so I submitted my find.

We'll see. We'll see.

Yeah i took only around 13 hours, i did everything, and it took me no time cause with these kind of linear style games i just race through, and i still managed to do almost all the side quests and i beat all the swoop races. My longest playing was 25 hours, i couldnt decide to be evil or good so i maxed out light side then maxed out evil then i went back, so thats why that one was so long and whoever said it yes there is no challenge, the only thing i had trouble with was malak and that was only because i was heavily into force powers and he just prevents all u do

I spent about 42 hours, and I did every sidequest I could find. I don't belive the guy who said that he did all the sidequests without using cheats/walkthroughs in 13 hours, in his first time through the game.

But over 100 hours is just madness.

Why being sad? You played a fabulous fame for 126 fabulous hours of new experiences. Others have to replay it six times to get to that time, and for them it's not as fabulous as for you.
