what happened to malak? (posible spoiler)

I was playing through the game for my 4th time and i got thinking, On dantoine when you have the vision it shows malak talking to revan and he has a mouth but later in the game it shows him with his mask thing off and he dosn't have his mouth. What happened to it, it never says anything about it.

If you've ever played the Dark Side you'll notice your complexion gets whiter and you look deader as you get more evil. I believe if you stay evil and keep getting worse the Dark Side corrupts your body so much that you lose parts of your body. Take for example Darth Vader Obi Wan Kenobi talks about him being mainly machinery now that the dark side has corrupted him. So I believe it's the same with Malak.

UUUMmmm..... Large part of vader being so messed up is in a fight with Obi-Wan when he turned to the dark side he got pushed into lava or what not, thats why he is on life support and all of that. least, so i have heard. 8shrugs* If you want an example of what effects the dark side has on a person compare Emperor Palpatine in Phantom menace, to Return of the Jedi. Like an albino prune!

There is no 'official' reason yet stated however thre has been much discussion on the official forums. Most think either it was the result of dark side corruption or Revan cut it off.

Some others are:
1: he was learning to twirl his lightsaber - that musta taken a lot of practice, and a few false starts.
2: he lost it in a fight with a LS Jedi, some time after he went DS.
3: he did something to seriously annoy Revan, and that was his punishment.
4: something during the Mandalorian wars? Maybe he tried to fight Mandalore himself, that happened, then Revan finished the fight for him?
5: he tried to kiss HK-47.
6: I'm running out of ideas here, but maybe a Gizka did it?
7: He saw Bastila nude and his jaw just dropped to no repair. (Note: I didn't think any fo these up)
8: Shaving accident
