Things I didnt like where minor I guess.
One, the fact the the "mini games" where just that, there where one dimentional teasers that where repeditiveto the point of anoiance. They where great the first time around but then you realize that there is nothing more to it.....same cut seen.....same ending.....same everything.
Two, the load times where way to long! i meen I realize that the graphics in this game where superb right down to the grass flowing around you as you walk. But for the load times to be so long and with the levels being so small. Some of them wernt worth going through they where so small, But that didnt bug me as much as the load time for Swoop Racing....I just gave up after the 5th try on Manna to get a qualifying run...I was falling a sleep at the helm.
Three, the items in the game that you can upgrade...there arnt many of them and you are limited to what you can do for the most part...except for the lightsabers which had diffrent ability crystalls, everything else was basic..have crapy weapon...build it into an okay weapon.
Four, the armor in the game! Im meen OMG why does Canderous have the same AC In giant battle armor as Mission in her skimpy bikini!! I know there are dex modifiers and mobility isues with the larger armor...but thats why its larger! to hold off thoughs bigger attacks!! right???

Um, why, @Revan? Are you saying you don't personally like his character, or his writing? You can choose another one, then, for your party. But it doesn't really have an impact on gameplay, since he can be safely ignored.

Two things for me that I especially did not like, though in general think this game easily ranks as one of the best ever RPGs.

2. A party "Cancel Fight" option. You can cancel it for one person, but another's AI will take over and they'll run to the enemy. There is no way for all of you to run away.

1. My number one gripe! There is no weapon switch or weapon config quick save slots. How many times did I switch from Lightsabers to Vibroblades in my first game, or to blasters (ion, etc)? Lots. If there was a choice for even one weapon switch (ala Diablo II), it would save a lot of time and a little frustration.

Good choice on #1, @Applebrown. I heartily agree. I can only hope they include it on the PC version.

I agree with most of you guys, the 1 item at a time is a pain, not being able to run if you are attacked is another, but I think this one might take the cake, why only human characters? I think the one of the biggest appeals in the Star Wars universe is the abundance of different races. They could have eaisly made a few more character models to include other races, and attribute and skill bonuses and penalties appropriate with each race. If you have played Jedi Power Battles, that Ploo Koon guy looks badass, I would have loved to be able to choose different races as the main character. One of the biggest strengths of todays rpgs is the building of your character, I was very disappointed with this aspect of the game. Maybe they will throw in a few different character models in the game as DLC... I can only hope.

Good one Sith Lord. And yes, I want to revise my list. My absolute number one gripe is the one at a time scrolling combined with the one at a time "Give Items" to containers. This should definitely have been noticed and dealt with.

One thing that gets me, even though I realize its necessity -- and this is the case with most RPGs-- is the way people always end conversations. You'll be talking to Carth about some pretty heavy stuff, some really personal trauma, and then he basically brushes it off like, okay that's all for now. And then the "is there anything else I can help you with?" I hate that. They just bore their soul to me, and they now sound like they're offering me a glass of water...? It just annoys me when RPGs go to great lengths to be as good as I think KotOR was and then the dialogue is just... lame.

Yeah, you can add to that list Juhani's self-pity, Jolee's crotchity old man syndrome, and Mission's screechy pleas for attention. Hell, even the damn wookie gets in on the whining...
It's stereotypically cliched according to type, but at least it provides some real character. They're also appropriate, given wht each person has gone through. Would you rather be accompanied by the Donna Reed Show, with no problems at all?

And Jolee's stories (like those of Jan in BG2; in fact, they were probably written by the same in-house person) are delightful.

I know; but the fact that you mind it at all interests me. I'm not trying to change your opinions; I hope I didn't give that impression. But I'm curious why you don't like "NPCs with problems" in your party. This parallels an interesting discussion we had about a year ago in the BG2 forum, where people were split between those who found Viconia, Aerie, and Edwin interesting, and those who regarded them as annoying losers.

It's not their problems. People are supposed to have problems, that's what makes them interesting. It's the way they all kind of fit too well into societal stereotypes that I think the dialogue takes a little too far. I think, though, the explanation for my feelings on this matter are too lengthy and too unrelated to the forum topic to go into here. Just know, that I don't disagree with anything you've said until this point, I just think you misunderstand my motives because they're difficult to explain in this medium.

Biggest objection

The game rocks.

The thing that has caused the most frusttration for me is that you can't make all your playersretreat at once... or at least I haven't founf a way to. I'll run away with one, and the others will re-engage.

Yeesh, people found Aeie interesting? Maybe finger of death, but what a horrendous character...

What was wrong with Aerie? She was young, pretty, naive, and vulnerable. the type of person who needed a strong paladin like my PC to protect her from ruffians who only wanted to take advantage of her.

Back on topic though, one of the things that really annoyed me about KotOR was that there were only like 5 different alien languages and there were many different species of aliens. And those werent even full languages, there were just a handfull of different voice overs for each language repeated over and over. whenever they didnt have voice overs for a specific npc they just made it an alien. now i realize that it would have been near impossible to make different voice overs for every single character but i would have rather just read the text without voice overs than listen to some unintelligible voice over repeated a million times through out the game.
