| | | Terentatek (spoiler) When you're on your way to your ship, after finishing up on Dantooine, a Jedi warns you about the Terentatek, a beast that eats Jedis. He says there might be one on Korriban, but the first time I played through, I didn't find anything of the sort on that planet. Is this some deep secret in the game, or is it another one of the developer's leftovers from quests that were not implemented?
TIA

| | As I recall, you'll find it if you mess around in the Korriban caves, close to the bridge. The Renegade Sith want it gone, since it's blocking their way out. Kill it for 'em. Despite all the warnings about such a scary creature, it took hardly any time at all for my party to render it suitable for frying in light oil.

| | | there are also two of them in the tomb of Naga Sadow on Korriban
That fight is a little harder because you have tofight them both at the same time.
However, you have to fight them, or "get by" them inorder to complete the main quest |

| | | Yes, there are two Terentatek in Naga Sadow's tomb which are unavoidable. They're great, brown, hulking spiny brutes and they dissolve into green vapour when they die.
You don't have to take them both on at the same time though, you can lure them one at a time if you're careful. |

| | | Terentatek can be hard to kill if Korriban is your first planet. They have a natural force resistance. If playing dark force kill is very effective on them, and if playing light I recommend force valor follwed by stasis field or somesuch.
The terentatek on the bridge in the Korriban caves seemed like it was the hardest one to kill in the game. |

| | | I found that the terentateks were pretty easy to kill, so I did understand why the other Jedi had so much trouble.(you should discover the journals of 3 Jedi who try to hunt them, and all die)
The two in the tomb of Naga Sadow were pretty hard, because you're on your own. If you had Jolee there you could put them both into stasis.
I did that by using force speed, luring them out, running past them, pulling the lever, then running into the next room. You can quite safely shoot them from there. |

| | They're easy even when done solo--after all, you're lugging around a truckload worth of life supports and advanced med pacs by that time, aren't you?

| Well, techinically its not a Teranterek, its a Ritual Beast. That is almost the same thing except it has a differnt name, and the Ritual Beast is more special than a Teranterek, and its a bit shorter, too i think

| | | The "ritual beast" is a terentatek, even if the wookiees call it something different. Hence the journal of one of the terentatek hunters being present on its corpse. |

| | | The Ritual Beast is a Terentatek, though an incredibly lame enemy, I killed it in under 10 seconds, and Kashyyk was my first planet. Maybe if they had beefed em (plenty) and maybe place them guarding a star map they would have left a more lasting memory. Also it makes you think what wimps other jedis must have been to die even when taking them on 3 to one. |

| | | True.....I'm pretty disappointed that they weren't more difficult.
As it is, there are only a few fights in the game that I feel I need to really try to win(e.g. Malak. Well, the 2nd fight, not the first one which was pretty easy)
A few almost impossible to kill beasts would have been nice. In JA there were Rancors that you had to run away from because they were invinceable(although I'd like all enemies to be killable).
In KOTOR the rancors are pretty pathetic, as are the Terentatek.
You can even put them into stasis....they'd have been much more of a challenge if they really were force immune. |

| | | Being an Avid JA player, you can kill the rancors, just takes an Assload of lightsaber hits, combos, force powers, and ammo, and as soon as its dead they drop a fresh one into the arena to munch on your butt, one way to get them is hide in the escape corridor just out of its reach, and slash em up while dodging any hits they throw at ya. |
