Melee vs. Lightsaber

This may sound like a no-brainer but...

Do the melee feats upgrades add to your lightsaber skill?

Also, I created a Soldier with a 12 INT and I was only getting 1 skill point per level. Shouldn't it have been 3 points?

Same character above as Jedi Consular, haven't added to INT Still only getting 1 point per level??

Anyone know what's not going right here?

yeah, what the hell.
Yeah, Melee ugrades do help your lightsaber skill.
Lightsaber skill IS NOT based on DEX, but on strength, to how much chance you hit and of course how much you take.
I created a soldier with INT 14 and 2 skill-points each level, so you just ahve to accept soldier is dumb, but try INT 14 , it's good as well, i promise you.J edi consular or Jedi Sentinel or even Jedi Guardian does not affect your skill progression. Only Scout, Scoudrel or Soldier classes affect that. Hope it helps mate

Melee focus and specialisation have absolutely no effect on your lightsaber. Your dexterity or strength bonus are added to your base attack bonus, depending on which is higher, but only your strength bonus is added to your damage.

if u use 2-bladed lightsaber like darth maul, then melee upgrades suck as two weapon fightning has effect on your play, at least a guy named Dark-Castle said so..
