Hi.
I have just started a game and where can i buy lightsaber in Taris.
and can i travel to other planets or i have to complete the search for bastilla quest?
And cheats wont work.I tipe in EnableCheats=1 under game options but nothing hapens when i press tilda.?????????????????

You can't buy a lightsaber. You build one when you become a Jedi on Dantooine.

You must rescue Bastila before leaving Taris.

Search is your friend.

Press the '~' key (without quotes) to activate the console in the game.

[Shift] + [the key on the right side of "P"] works for me.

I am not sure if a cheat console will appear. To check if it is properly activated, try to walk; if you can't, the console is there.

Go to wherever you saved your main file for KotOR and find the swkotor.ini file and go down to [Game Options], and below the other things type (or make sure you have) exactly this, 'EnableCheats=1' (without the apostrophes of course). Then when you are playing hit the tilda (or lazy S- ~ key) and type in the cheat. If you save with one or more cheats activated, on your picture where it saves it will say 'Cheat Used' in yellow letters.

Do you have 2 swkotor.ini files?

If you do, then the cheat menu will not appear. You must have only 1 swkotor.ini file that has EnableCheats=1 under game options in it so that cheat can work.

If it is successfull, in the top left corner while you're playing the game there should be this: > _ . And you can enter your cheats there.

Sometimes when you have certain devices plugged into a USB port, that will disable the console in games. For example, I must unplug the remote device I use for Windows Media Center in order for the console screen to appear when I press the tilde in any of my games.

I am also having trouble with getting the cheat console to come up. I had this game when it came out and had no problems getting the cheats to work. Fast forward to 2008 and I purchased the Star Wars The best of PC game pack, installed SWKotOR, edited the SWKOTOR.ini by adding EnableCheats=1 under Game Options, entered the game pressed ~, and nothing. So here I am looking for an answer on the internet and nothing. I think perhaps cheats have been disabled in this verson of the game or the menu is accessed via a different key. If anyone has any luck please post and let us know.
