Graphic glitch leading to freeze on 6800gt

After deciding to play KOTOR again, installing and patching the game, when I start the game after some 10-20 seconds in the character generation screen and main menu (I suppose that would be the case with the game itself) strange graphic glitches occur-Lines moving out of bodies and heads. When I go back to main menu Darth Malak is also glitched and the game freezes. I have a GeForce6800gt which is not officialy supported by game, but it exceeds it's requirements. HELP!

Hmm. I'm not really familiar with this graphics glitch so I might be wrong here. If you're using the latest drivers, it is best to try to downgrade to an older driver or do a clean install of the graphics drivers. Another option is to download the graphics drivers from your graphics card manufacturer to see if anything helps or not.

As for the game freeze, I am quite familiar with this problem. Encountered this in quite a number of games I played previously. Try updating your sound drivers to see if anything helps or not. If not, then changing the compatibility of the executable file, enable 'Force Software' mode in the audio settings or reduce the DirectX sound acceleration all the way to the minimum.

Hope it helps.

I have GF6600 on my computer - and the game crashes terribly on Dantooine plains. Just incredible, I can barely play, and this short episode becomes a real horror. Does anyone have the same problem?
