Dumb question, but...

...has anyone actually used security spikes or spike tunnelers in this game? I've never used them for breaking into any locked doors or anything like that (that's what Mission, T3-M4, and my lightsaber is for)

The only spikes I've used were the computer variety. Do those count?

Well actually I've used security spikes ...(I might be the only one) It was on korriban when I was trying to get into Uthar Wynn's room and I had mission because I didn't think of using T3 and her security level wasn't high enough so she had to use the security spikes and sometimes on locked doors that I don't feel like bashing that take a long time to bash like there is one down on the Hrakert Rift. Anyways, but none other than that besides in my first game I tried one on the sith base because you know first time trying stuff out .

Each NPC seems to create a maximum of 100 items in the course of the game (20 per star map). With Mission's security spikes, I am able to raise over 10000 credits from selling all her security spike tunnelers to Suvam Tan and using it to buy some cool stuff for her (hey she earned it).

mm... a bit of a waist of time...
i got plenty of cash all the time without this...
i played pazaak once, on yavin, cuz he gives 750$ a hand...
racing also gives u nice cash....
the rest, simply sell stuff....

one trick i found, if ur low on cash is: use 1 equipement for 2 characters...

example: since u prolly never use carth and canderous at the same time... get equipement for one, and transfert to the other if u switch party.. all u need then is to carry 2 extra blasters for carth... this also can be done with T3 and HK, just make sure u have an extra blaster riffle for HK... u can also do this for your 3 jedis... but since u loose bastilla and i usually use a 3 jedi party, i ahd full equip for all juhani and jolee.... zalbaar doesnt use that much equip... and all my items on mission were found... finish the game wit gogly equip and lots of cash

On the PC version of Kotor they are unusable. On Xbox I think that they actually do something, but I don't know cause I don't have an Xbox

ya I would just sell them just keep 3 security spikes in case, ya I usually sell like everything except the stuff I equip on people in my party and stims and shields. So before I get to the star forge I have like 55,000-60,000 credits.
