For my second choice, I'd agree with Mr_Sir, and the Scout/Consulor combo.

Malak is easier to take as a Sentinel due to the immunity to his stun attacks, but ah well.

On another note, I did once beat Taris as a 2nd level Scoundrel. It was Not like shooting womprats, in Beggar's Canyon back home. You can get by with arming Carth for melee while you stand back with a blaster, and I was even able to beat the dueling ring by using excessive amounts of grenades and energy shields.

For the Vulkar Swoop Fight, however, I ended up having to slap on an energy shield, running like the wind for the furtherest corner to hide in, when I turned on my stealth field and waited for Bastila to finish them all off.

I must say, it's the only time I did not feel annoyed about her complaining about my rescue attempt.

Personally - in KOTOR1 I have a fondness for the scoundrel/guardian path due to sneak attack (or what it was called) working with force jump attacks.
But I also enjoyed the scout due to the free implant feats and the amount of skill points he recives.
Whoooo BOY! You aren't kidding about that one! After reading your post, I tried it. I'm at the tail end of a game right now with a character that's level 3 scoundrel/level 16 guardian, and I just now took down a rancor with a sneak attack/force jump while amped on master speed... one melee attack and the rancor was toast! This is some cool schtuff!

For me, it all depends on how Im playing, If I go lightside, its soldier/gaurdian, not caring too much about force powers, Im an offensive person as some of the mods will tell you :apologetic:, but I play to kill fast, not pretty. On the other hand I lvoe darkside force powers, and generally kill my opponents before I have a chance to use my feats, so either a solder/consular or scout/consular for me.
