Question Do Light Side/Dark side points count for anything?

I'm playing a very light sided scoundrel/consular and have been completing missions a plenty, getting all the experience to boot. But does getting LS or DS points actually get you anything other than a boost on the force-o-meter?

Do I get more force points by getting more light points or do I just appear more saintly on the scale?

Thanks for any clarification

Yes, the more lightsided you are the less forcepoints lighside forcepowers cost and the more darksidepowers. The other way around ass well.

And when you optain light/darkside mastery you get a bonus depending on your class.

Lightside mastery
Guardian: +3 STR
Sentinel: +3 CON
Consular: +3 CHA

Darkside Mastery
Guardian: +1d8 damage
Sentinel: Poison Immunity
Consular: +50 to Force Points Pool ("mana")

xbox version

Hi

I read your reply Stilgar, does this apply for the xbox version aswell?

As i am right at the bottom on the scale, and im a soldier/consular dark jedi. Nothing seems to change is there a symbol or anything.

All i seem to do is stand there breathing like a 50 year old chain smoker, with bits of cigarette ash blowing everywhere......

personally i have not seen any attributes changed by mastery of either alignment. the force point cost reduction is indeed nice on its own and of course mentioned in the manual. but completely unequipped, i saw no attribute changes to my ls(or ds) mastered player.

where did this info come from, is it verified?

(possible spoilers)

and is it just me, or did anyone notice that the symbol for ls mastery was the symbol on the republic flags in the republic embassy, while the ds mastery symbol was the symbol from the flags in the sith embassy? and did anyone notice that your underwear changed when you mastered an alignment? i was wearing sandpeople clothing and forgot that you couldn't wear them in anchorhead. it was a ds trip through, and i had already mastered the ds, and all of a sudden i'm standing in anchorhead in my underwear which was now gray with the same symbol in my stats bar right in the middle of my chest.

I can verify that it works on the PC version, but I'm almost certain that it doesn't exist in the Xbox version.

Thanks fellas

I have the Xbox version - I'll take a look and see if there are any such changes. Better strip down to my boxers and take a look.

Thanks for the clarification
