How much def does your best char have in kotor1? My best has 31.

I can't quite recall but I think it was somewhere at 25 or something. I didn't focus much on dexterity and defense at that time as I wasn't very familiar with the game's mechanics at that time.

How is that possible? i thought calos armor gives 13 or 14 def. And with 10 dex your naked def would be 12, so you couldnt get more than say 27with it.<What items did you have? And were you scoundrel?

Well I can't answer for him, however, i think if he had duelist and had 6 lvl as a scoundrel, it would be possible

I've had a scoundrel/consular with def i believe was around 33/34 without force power. With speed and having jolee cast valor, i think i had around 40. It wasn't very useful however, i had low hp and i used to cast a lot of force power to stun everyone anyway

If he was scoundrel and had only 1 saber, then he would be close, maybe 35??

If you think literally then if you start as a Scoundrel and just go to level 6, you gain +4 to defence. Then if you take guardian the rest of the way, focusing on dueling (+3) and the defence that a jedi naturally has (+6) then this is an automatic +13 to defence. If you wear the specialist jedi robes from Korriban then they add 5 to your defence.

So even if a character started off with 10 dexterity they would still end up on 28 defence.

If a character has 16 dexterity by the end of the game, utilises the dueling feat, wears those robes and has say a +4 dexterity implant they can have 33 defence.

Yeah, i know , no need to teach me . Im now working on a char that will get 38-40 defence without buffing powers and 46-48 with them on.

Well something you might wanna know is that for some reason, some of the bonus with force power will be added has a dex bonus...but i don't remember what power(maybe all of them...maybe I'm just crazy). What i mean is that at some point, wou will have all +8 Max bonus to your armor class. As I said, i don't know what power, maybe it was a bug on my game...

perhaps, but whats funny that there is really no +8 max dex bonus. I have tried, and didnt think of any other explanation than the game needs to show a max dex even though there is not any. (i hope i was clear enough )

And the power which gives dex is valor which im not going to take.
