Darth Bandon's Lightsaber (possible spoiler)

Any of you who are devoted FAQ and walkthrough readers will know that you can apparently get Darth Bandon's lightsaber if you fight him on Manaan (after doing Dantooine and two other planets)
In any case, I know that most crystals have different effects in his double-bladed saber, some better some worse (unless you take out his color crystal, at which point the effect ends).

I was just wondering if anybody actually has done this and uses the saber.

Also, just out of curiosity, does anyone know what happens when you insert the phond crystal into Bandon's saber? The guide I read didn't list the effect.

I have done it on an XBox (no XBox live) and it worked great. It was a while ago so I don't remember any of the effects, except that the Stun crystal had a 100% chance to Stun. In any case, it isn't a rumor- it works. Only, make sure you don't try to change the color of the saber- for some reason his sabre became normal when I did that.

It has been a while since my previous answer, but I found a guide to crystals that contains info on Darth Bandon's sabre. I hope it helps- here it is.

as I mentioned before, that guide doesn't list the effect of the phond gem in Bandon's saber. It's okay, sooner or later I'll be able to just try it out for myself.

I haven't tried it in a while, but I think the Phond may add +1 to addack as well as the 1d6 physical. I'm playing through again now (only about an hour a day though) so if/when I get there, I will check it out for you.

? i think i just got a dual bladed red from him as well as his darth bandon fiber armour, but that was on tatooine after the krayt cave.

I thought you could only get his saber on Mannan- if you have it now, pop a bondar crystal in it and look at the stun %- if it is 100%, then you have the real deal.

right, it doesn't appear to be special from the description, but it won't stack in your inventory with other double bladed sabers, and the effects of crystals will be changed.

Crap, I wondered why it didn't stack. I had like 3 of them, so I sold the whole lot.

Is it just an xbox thing, maybe? I'm playing on PC, and I fought Darth Bandon on Manaan, but his double-bladed lightsaber immediately just stacked like a normal one.
